Mirral Church holds final service at New Utrecht Church

The Mirral Church, one of only three Swedenborgian churches in New York City, held its final service Sunday at the New Utrecht Reformed Church with a joint Korean-English communion service with the New Utrecht Church. The Rev. Young Min Kim, the pastor for thirteen years, delivered the sermon in both English and Korean, preaching on Luke 24:13-35. Elder Susan Hanyen, Vice President of Consistory at the New Utrecht Church, gave a tearful farewell message. It was a sad day for both the Mirral Church and the New Utrecht Church. After a group photo of both congregations, a lunch featuring both Korean and Italian food and desserts followed. The Mirral Church will now hold worship services at their new home in Manhattan.
