 OUR
APPROACH TO GOD
 Prelude
Introit "Ride On, Ride On In Majesty” J. Dykes

 Welcome

 Call
to Worship:  Psalm 24, 68 & 118
Lift up, O gates, your lintels:
 REACH UP, YOU ANCIENT PORTALS,
THAT THE KING OF GLORY MAY COME IN.
Your solemn processions are seen, O God,
THE PROCESSIONS OF MY GOD, MY
KING, INTO THE SANCTUARY—
 The singers in
front, the musicians last,
 BETWEEN THEM CHILDREN PLAYING
TAMBOURINES.
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
 BIND THE FESTAL PROCESSION WITH
BRANCHES, UP TO THE HORNS OF THE ALTAR.
 A reading from the Gospel
of Luke
19: 28-40
       At the conclusion of the
reading, following verse 38 which reads The whole multitude of
disciples began to praise God with a loud voice for all the deeds of
power they had seen, saying: (please join in)
HOSANNA! BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO COMES IN
THE NAME OF THE LORD! BLESSED IS THE COMING KINGDOM OF OUR ANCESTOR
DAVID! HOSANNA IN THE HIGHEST!
       *Hymn: BB 716 "The King
Of Glory" vs. 1, 2, 3

DAY I WILL BLESS YOU. AND I WILL LAUD YOUR NAME FOREVER AND EVER. EACH
GENERATION WILL PRAISE YOUR DEEDS TO THE NEXT AND OF YOUR MIGHTY DEEDS
THEY WILL TELL. THE SPLENDOROUS GLORY OF YOUR POWER AND YOUR WONDROUS
DEEDS I SHALL DISCUSS. AND OF YOUR AWESOME POWER I WILL SPEAK, AND YOUR
GREATNESS I SHALL RELATE. A RECOLLECTION OF YOUR ABUNDANT GOODNESS WILL
I UTTER AND OF YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS I WILL SING EXULTANTLY. ALL YOUR
WORKS SHALL THANK YOU, LORD, AND YOUR DEVOUT ONE WILL BLESS YOU. OF THE
GLORY OF YOUR KINGDOM I WILL SPEAK, AND OF YOUR POWER I WILL TELL, TO
INFORM HUMAN BEINGS OF YOUR MIGHTY DEEDS AND GLORIOUS SPLENDOR OF YOUR

IS THROUGHOUT EVERY GENERATION. LORD, YOU SUPPORT ALL THE FALLEN ONES
AND STRAIGHTEN ALL THE BENT.
