BROOKLYN - In keeping with its tradition
of twice annually opening its doors to
savvy shoppers, the New Utrecht Reformed
Church in Bensonhurst announces its fall
Thrift Sale, Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. to
The large selection with great prices to
be offered in the Parish House, next to
the historic sanctuary on 18th Ave.
between 83rd and 84th Streets, includes
clothing, linens, shoes, books, toys,
handbags, jewelry, electronic items, small
household appliances and house ware.
Among the items are those donated by
members and friends of the church who have
moved from the area or downsized from the
houses they had been in for many years.
Proceeds benefit restoration of the
sanctuary structure, which dates from
1828. The New Utrecht Church was founded

blocks away on 86th Street. The church is
one block away from the 18th Ave. subway
station's D line.
